Why insight alone often fails

Root to Rise is not just a collection of practices.

It is guided through Transmission—a heart-centered presence rooted in Sufi spiritual healing that allows transformation to unfold naturally rather than through force or effort.

Transmission does not rely on suggestion, catharsis, or altered states.

It arises through grounded presence, nervous system safety, and a deep orientation toward truth. This creates a space where students feel seen, supported, and resourced—often before they can explain why.

Because of this, the work continues long after each class ends.

What is received is not information, but recognition—and the body reorganizes itself accordingly.

You are not asked to believe anything.

You are invited to experience alignment.

I 100% enjoyed the chakra workshop yesterday. I experienced some profound revelations especially during the Savasana phase with your exquisite gong (I think that’s what you use). I love that you explain the reasoning behind each concept and exercise. I found chaotic movement uplifting and energizing. Your groups have always been wonderfully supportive Thank you for sharing your teachings with us.

I have found Cherie's style comprehensive, adaptive, calm, and soothing. During this year of involvement with Cherie, I have given up the use of alcohol and marijuana as self-medicating practices and enjoy a new lifestyle. I am forever grateful for her taking the time to work with me to this end and I will continue to participate in her functions in the future.

In regard to Cherie's new, beautifully written and presented spiral bound '365 Daily Return - 365 Days of Somatic Wisdom' book. I love the fact that the messages each day are simple yet very profound to think about and sit with. It is very helpful for me to have a daily guide to help inform my intentions and day. i especially like setting an intention for the day and to think about as I go through my day! I enjoyed Cherie's book Roots to Rise and it is a perfect companion with this daily intentional and thoughtful book! Thank you Cherie for providing this to us!

About The Author

Cherie Bianco

Author • Founder of the Root to Rise™ Method™ • Somatic and Nervous System Transformation Expert

Cherie Salma Bianco is an internationally trained somatic therapist, Kundalini Yoga teacher, shamanic practitioner, and pioneer in the integration of nervous system healing with spiritual transformation. For more than four decades, she has guided thousands of people in moving beyond survival patterns into lives rooted in safety, vitality, and authentic self-expression.

She is the author of Root to Rise: From Survival to Sovereignty in a Dysregulated World—How Safety in the Body Allows the Soul to Remember and 365 Daily Return: 365 Days of Somatic Wisdom, a year-long collection of daily reflections that gently guide readers back to the wisdom of the body, one day at a time.

Cherie is the creator of the Root to Rise™ Method, an integrative approach that weaves together the wisdom of Core Energetics Body Psychotherapy, Kundalini Yoga, Q'ero Peruvian Shamanic Healing, Sufi mysticism, sound healing, and modern nervous system regulation. Her work is founded on a simple but profound truth:

When the body experiences safety, the soul naturally remembers who it is.

Rather than teaching people how to become someone new, Cherie's work helps them remove what has covered over their true nature. Through movement, breath, sound, energetic practices, and deep somatic awareness, clients release stored survival patterns and rediscover the coherence, wisdom, and vitality that have always lived within them.

She often describes her work as "Feng Shui for the human system." Just as a home flourishes when clutter is cleared and energy flows freely, the human body naturally reorganizes when old emotional burdens, trauma patterns, limiting beliefs, and energetic imprints are gently released. Healing is not forced—it unfolds when the right conditions are created.

This philosophy is inspired by nature itself. The desert never forces a flower to bloom. Rain, sunlight, fertile soil, and time simply create the conditions in which life remembers how to emerge. In the same way, Cherie's work creates the internal conditions for people to return to their own innate wholeness.

At the heart of everything she teaches are the Seven Root to Rise Cornerstones, guiding principles that cultivate lasting transformation:

  • Safety — creating the internal conditions where healing becomes possible.
  • Somatic Wisdom — learning to trust the intelligence of the body.
  • Breath — restoring life force and regulating the nervous system.
  • Sound — using vibration and frequency to awaken coherence.
  • Movement — allowing the body to complete what survival interrupted.
  • Nature — remembering that all true healing follows the wisdom of the natural world.
  • Soul Recognition — reconnecting with the luminous essence that has always been present beneath conditioning.

These cornerstones are not techniques to master but living practices that help people return, day after day, to themselves.

Cherie's diverse training reflects a lifelong commitment to understanding the whole human experience. She studied Core Energetics directly with the late John Pierrakos, learning how emotional armor is held within the body and released through breath, movement, expression, and compassionate awareness.

She later trained with Alberto Villoldo in the ancient Q'ero healing traditions of Peru, where she learned to work with the luminous energy field, clear energetic imprints, and support profound life transitions. Her Kundalini Yoga studies with Guru Singh and Mukta Kaur Khalsa deepened her understanding of sacred sound, mantra, addiction recovery, and nervous system renewal through the SuperHealth model.

For more than two decades, Cherie also studied the path of Sufi mysticism under the guidance of Sidi al Jamal, whose teachings on presence, remembrance (dhikr), unconditional love, and direct communion with the Divine profoundly influenced the heart-centered foundation of her work. This lineage continues to inform her understanding that healing is not about becoming someone different, but about remembering the luminous essence that has always been present beneath fear, conditioning, and survival.

Drawing upon these traditions, along with decades of clinical experience, massage therapy, intuitive guidance, and her Human Design Splenic decision-making process, Cherie offers a uniquely integrative approach that honors the body, mind, emotions, energy, and spirit as one interconnected living system. Today she offers private mentoring, transformational retreats, classes, and immersive programs that invite participants into a new relationship with themselves—not through striving or fixing, but through remembering.

Her work is ultimately an invitation home.

Not to become more...

but to uncover what has always been waiting beneath survival.
